Yet another Government is targeting Personal Independence Payment (PIP) whilst at the same time talking about getting people with disabilities back into work.
PIP is to help fund the extra costs disabled people face that non-disabled people don’t.
It is not means tested so you recieve it whether you work or not. Targeting this benefit will not get people with disabilities into work. In fact, it will have the opposite effect. It will reduce disabled people’s ability to live and get around independently, including getting to work!
